Tools of the Trade

This page includes affiliate links. This means I may receive a small commission when items are purchased. However, as always, my opinions are honest and 100% my own. Every item reflected on this page is a product I actually use and support.

These are a few of my favorite things…

Creating, managing and updating a blog while also baking and creating new recipes, cooking for a family and being the best mom I can be for an awesome kiddo can be exhausting. I would never be able to do it without having some amazing resources at my fingertips. Thankfully, I have superior tools to help me out along the way and make my job so much easier.

Through many of my posts, you may notice that I reference Amazon quite frequently. Being a busy mom and sometimes struggling with anxiety, I love the convenience that Amazon provides me. I am able to get almost anything delivered to my door and within two days with Amazon Prime. I use Amazon for everything from toilet paper delivery (I am not even kidding) to all of my bakeware needs.

If you have been wondering what products I use to make my culinary masterpieces (and I admit, sometimes, flops), then this is the place to learn all the details.

My KitchenAid Mixer

My hand-me-down GE hand mixer is well loved and still going strong after being over 30 years old. But, when it comes to endurance mixing for smooth buttercreams and peaked meringue, my KitchenAid is my first and only choice. I received my bright red mixer as payment for a custom wedding cake I provided a few years ago. I have been in love ever since!

The Ninja Blender

Captain Cupcakeasaurus and I received this blender as a wedding present. He was super excited to start using it right away. I, on the other hand, was a bit terrified. The blades were huge and super sharp! I had never had a fancy (effective) blender before. Honestly, it was a bit intimidating but once I got over my first blend, there was no turning back. The extra attachments are what make this blender even more awesome. I can finely mince vegetables in seconds. It made salsa a breeze in the food processor attachment. I also love the NutriNinja cups so I can easily make health shakes or even milkshakes for the whole family in minutes.

Wilton Everything

Wilton is known to be the experts on almost everything with cake. I use their nonstick cupcake tins for baking. It doesn’t stop there though. I also use their cupcake liners, their decorating tips, and their gel food coloring.  In the post, Make Something Worth Sharing With Others, I mention the Wilton cake decorating tool box my aunt gifted to me before she passed away. This is where I store all of my cake and cupcake decorating tools.

The Blogging Part

If you are interested in starting your own blog, I highly suggest using what I use. I like user-friendly options that provide me with more results rather than hassles.

When I started, I just knew I liked to bake. I also knew I wanted to share my adventures with the world. I thought blogging was easy. Like with baking, it can be if you have the right tools.

Thankfully, I found web hosting through Bluehost that allowed me to secure my domain name and provide hosting for the site at a reasonable price. It also helps that they have a dedicated customer service team to walk me through any issues I may have or just think I have. They have been very helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

I will periodically update this list as I fall in love with more tools of the trade. I want to make sure I am providing you with the best.
